Cheap Electric Toothbrush
Are Electric toothbrushes really better? If so…?
Or do they just promote longer brushing time therefore better cleaned teeth? I’ve seen them from $4 up to the $100+ range. Just because it costs more, does it make it really better?
My hubby and i have been interested in electric toothbrushes but i’m afraid to sink $50+ dollars into a nice one, but don’t want to waste $$ on a cheap one. So anyone have any specifics on oral care brushes?
I have had 2 root canals and one broken tooth- all in one month and I am starting to get into finding ways to take better care of my teeth. I’m also interested in a water pick, since I can’t floss well because of fillings and cavaties between my teeth. Are there any brush kits that also include a water pick?

Yes, electric toothbrushes are much more superior and do a much better job than hand brushing. The electric brushes that have been scientifically documented as doing a good job are the Oral B and the Sonicare. I personally prefer and use the Sonicare. These brushes are not cheap but they are effective.
Waterpiks do NOT take the place of flossing. Their main purpose is to flush out gross debris from around the teeth and gums. The water pressure from the water pik also helps stimulate the gums to make them healthier and you still need to floss.
