Why is my tongue coated yellow?
Normally it’s coated white and i brush it off with my tongue brusher on my toothbrush, but now it’s yellow and there’s more of it. I brush, floss, and use mouthwash every day twice a day so i have really good oral hygiene. I’m an 18 year old female. I have hepatitis C and have been on the pegasys (ribavirin and interferon) treatment for a bit over 2 months. I don’t eat chalky things like chewable vitamins. my tongue isn’t furry looking. I don’t smoke/drink coffee and eat pretty healthy…I don’t know what other information would be helpful
it could be the medication, but more likely what your eating. Try eliminating certain food groups from your diet for a couple of weeks untill you find the culprit! i know mine is pasta and grains!
