Whitening of teeth with a tray custom made by dentist?
Can anyone give feedback of whitening their teeth using this method. Ie the dentist creates a custom shaped tray and fluid is placed in tray. The tray is placed in mouth for a certain period every day until the desired result achieved.
Were you happy with the result?
Particularly, has anyone experienced teeth sensitivity as a result? If so, how long did it last?
From the perspective of a dentist who has performed this procedure on many patients, the results are very noticeable especially if the teeth have a yellow appearance. About 10-15 % of the patients develop some sensitivity from the material but most often this can be cleared up by stopping the bleaching for a week or so and using fluoride on the teeth.
