Who uses a Sonicare toothbrush?

I have braces. My dentist recommends that I buy a Sonicare toothbrush. Will a Sonicare toothbrush make the differene, like it will clean really good for its price? What’s the difference between a sonicare toothbrush and some electric toothbrush that I buy at my local store? Is it ok to use with my braces?

As a dentist I have usually not recommended Sonicare due to size, weight, brush replacement costs and overall efficiency, however … they make a new brush called Flexcare. This brush coupled with the optional small brush head is excellent and I recommend it (and use it) wholeheartedly.

Other rechargeable and battery powered brushes lack the plaque disrupting energy of the new Sonicare. The small head can reach in and around your braces.
