Hummingbird Flossers
Have you used the Hummingbird flosser?
If so, how did you get on with it? I bought it the other day but found it tricky to get between my teeth and just not as good as I thought it would be.
I agree with the others…that manual flossing is the best. These other flossing ‘gadgets’ are just marketing fluff.
My uncle (a dentist) doesn’t believe flossing is very effective at cleaning everything, but it is still better than doing nothing. Flossing on the upstroke (towards the gum) can potentially jam food deeper into your gum (bad!)
You might also want to consider something like a waterpik (oral irrigator) to complete your nightly cleaning process…these things can clean below the gumline…and the entire gumline (flossing only gets the intersections). An alternative to the waterpik, the Panasonic ‘dental beat’ is great…portable and easier to work with than a (non-portable) waterpik.
The semi-annual cleaning by the dentist/hygenist is the best cleaning for most of us.
