Involuntary Teeth Clenching

GET10ptsNOW! American Bulldog: why when he clenches his teeth, his skull raises like a half inch & pops?

This hasn’t been happening all the time, I’ve just seen it twice in the past couple of days. I’m worried, but it doesn’t look like he’s in pain. His skull actually raises about a half inch each time he clenches his mouth together, it seems like an involuntary movement and it lasts for like 20 seconds with 10 pops & raises.
Does anyone know what the deal is with him?
Oh, and I don’t know if this makes a difference but the dog inhaled marijuana once or twice.
Best answer- 10 points ASAP!!!!!!!!

Sounds like something happened to his spine or it could be neurological. Pot wouldn’t cause this, however probably not good for him to breathe it in. Did he run into something while playing? I hope you have the money to bring him in, no need to disclose pot. Or at least call and ask what your vet thinks. Are the pops sounds or more like him acting as if he is popcorn? If its popcorn head it sounds neurological, pops sound sounds like spinal injury. Hope everything works out.
