Why do I have a scratch on my bottom gums?
I just got a new toothbrush and it’s Sonicare, electronic toothbrush. I got it from the day I went to get my deep cleaning which was on Wednesday. I’ve used it ever since. But yesterday and today I noticed scratches on my gums the one on the bottom are scratched. The dentist told me to take care of my gums so I brush down on the bottom and on top more. So is this it? The toothbrush scratched it? I use it on my gums a lot because I don’t wanna get another deep cleaning. Please help! Thanks!
The deep cleaning you received may or may not eliminate your gum disease. It is the most conservative treatment for gum disease but may not be the end point of treatment. Make sure your dentist remeasures your pockets to see if the disease is gone. Remember, gum disease does not hurt, only with an abscess or late in the disease process. If any doubts go see a periodontist.
