Nti Bruxism
Bruxism (night time teeth grinding) questions?
Do experts know what causes some people to grind their teeth during sleep while others do not? Also, my dentist said a night guard is $300. My teeth have shifted throughout the years and changed shape every time I get a new crown put on. I can’t afford to buy another night guard every time my bite changes. Are there cheaper alternatives that work? I’ve tried the bite guards from Walgreens but they didn’t fit my teeth at all after I boiled the plastic. Is the NTI device cheaper than a night guard.Does anyone out there wear a night guard on top of crowned teeth? Does the night guard ever loosen the cemented crowns when you remove it each morning?
If the teeth shift after the crown work, the dentist isn’t good, because the crown should fit the tooth perfectly, living only a small (tight) interdental space (like regular teeth).
But the custom night guard is essential because it prevents your crowns from wearing off due to bruxism!
Keep on wearing that night guard… and change dentist
