Occlusal Mouth Guard
can sports mouth guards be used to help t.m.j and occlusal problems?
I went to my dentist recently and found out that i grind my teeth in the night when im asleep. He said i need a mouth guard, but i am going travelling for a year in two weeks and haven’t got the time to get one made up,just wondered if i could use a sports guard as a substitute or would it make the problem worse. pls help!! thanks
It would help but not as much as getting a night guard. Plus I dont think it would be very comfortable wearing the sports guard while your sleeping. Get one made where your going. Just need your impression and x-ray.
