Is there a dentist in the house?
I have a toothache on the upper right-hand side of my mouth between my back molar and my second-to-last molar. I just got my teeth checked by a dentist and he says there’s no cavity there. I think the problem is that there’s too much space between the two teeth and the gums in between them gets irritated easily. I floss and brush there regularly and use an antiseptic mouthwash every day. It starts to hurt when I’m eating and food gets crammed up in there. Food gets stuck there easily and it hurts with a dull pain for about an hour after eating, although the pain lasts for days sometimes. I’m frustrated because my dentist tells me there’s nothing I can do about it short of going back to my orthodontist, and seeing as how I’m 24 and I’ve already had a lot of orthodontic work done, I’m none too eager to go back there. Is there anything I can do about this toothache that doesn’t involve some extreme solution?
Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride
