Tooth whitening system?

So I have a tube of Poladay tooth whitening system.. I dont have a bleaching tray..how can I use this to make my teeth whiter without a bleaching tray? Could I just pick up a mouth guard and use this as a tray? what are my options without having to go to the dentist or without the use of a bleaching tray..can this be done and how if so?

I have been a heavy smoker for the past 8 years and used to have stained teeth.. And I mean really badly stained.

Brushing your teeth after every meal will prevent your teeth from getting any worse. And of course keeping away from coffee, tea and smoking will help too.
