Sonic 1 Toothbrush
Are you REALLY satisfied with your sonic toothbrush? Do they really work?
I am about to invest $120 in either a Braun Oral or a Sonicare sonic toohbrush.
1. Please share your positives and negatives of using such a dental system?
2. Would they work on my 4 year old? He hates tooth brushing with a regular tooth brush.

A sonic toothbrush can definately help if you use it correctly. However, if you are not taking the time and paying attention to the angles at which you are brushing, you will still miss the same areas. The positives are that the brush moves a much faster speed than you could ever possibly move with your hand (manually). The negatives are that the brush is often hard to manuver in the mouth, so people often miss problem areas such as the gumline and back teeth (around the molars). I wouldn’t recommend it for a 4 year old since the brush heads are often larger and would be too big for his mouth unless you buy a small brush head. You can still do a really great job of brushing with a traditional toothbrush.
