why do dentist always recommend sonicare toothbrushes?
do they get percentage fr sales or is it really good? they are expensive
Electric toothbrushes are ideal for patients who have problems brushing their teeth as directed (as they should) or who have limited hand or arm mobility due to trauma, stroke, or the like. Electric toothbrushes are also a good choice because they simply clean better than a standard toothbrush. They make motions that you cannot make when brushing your teeth regularly. Dentists traditionally do not get kick-backs from the manufacturers of the products. In fact many dentists will sell the toothbrushes in their offices at a discounted price (say $30 – $40 cheaper than you would buy them in the store). Although in our office we do not suggest Sonicare brand, we suggest Braun or Oral-B. Happy brushing!
