Sonicare Waterpik

How Do I Keep My Toothbrush in Optimal Condition?

I have periodontis and am now nuts about keeping a strict cleaning regiment (flossing, waterpik, brushing, mouth rinse at least twice a day). Now I’m considering buying a sonicare electric toothbrush. Do you recommend this and is it worth to buy the very expensive model that self-sanitizes or that UV case that sanitizes it? Or can I simply leave the brush heads in hydrogen peroxide overnight?
BTW…my gum depth is about 3mm (after the scaling/root planing deal) and my gums are very pink and don’t bleed… I don’t want this disease to progress.
Also, I’m considering the sonicare flex (the one that costs about $160) vs. the sonicare e5500 (that’s around $50). Is there that much of a difference?

It is so worth the money I’m going to school to be a dental assistant and my girlfriend and I constantly talk about all the stuff product wise that’s out there and we completely agree that this is worth it. Did you get a periodontal probe done and how bad is it b/c depending on how severe it is you might want to consult your dentist first they go to school a long time and are very smart to this stuff and if your dentist is reluctant to give you perspective ask him if he can refer you to a periodontist b/c gum disease is no joke. I’m so glad to hear that your taking better care of your teeth. Also if your dentist says yes then I would ask if he sells them or something similar b/c more then likely he will give you a discount.
