How bad is my TMJ (Jaw Disorder)?
I already know I have it. For months my jaw locks and it can be a little painful to put it back to normal, but here’s some of my symptoms that have come up in the last 2-3 weeks.
Aching in my jaw that worsens when I chew/talk.
One day I didn’t have to open my mouth much before I could hear crackling, which caused a lot of discomfort.
Last night I had toothaches all across the upper left side of my mouth, which is where my bottom teeth usually rest.
How bad are my symptoms? The aching usually worsens when the air is damp, like if it’s about to rain. I’m seeing a specialist soon, but for people with experience or knowledge on the situation, what are some of the treatments and what are they like?
Treatment can range from simple realignment with braces or mouth pieces to surgery. Try not to guess about it until you actually talk to the doc, sometimes what seems to be bad, turns out to have a simple fix.
