how small can the “black triangles” in gums be to have composite bonding?
I was silly enough to get perio and gum disease, anyhoo its cleared up now apparently and my dental regime is good, i use tepe interdental brushes, a water irrigator, electric toothbrush and genigel. anyway i dont like the little black triangles i have in my gums as a result, since my teeth would be perfect if it werent for them!
im going to go see a cosmetic dentist soon (when ive saved up enough!) some of the triangles on my bottom teeth are quite big, but its the ones on my top teeth visible when i smile that i hate most, but they are 1mm wide, perhaps 1.5 long, which is v. small. could composite bonding fix them? and how much would it be? Thankyou 
composite bonding would be tricky to apply in that position, and would make the teeth look too ’square’. theres no easy answer for your situation;possibly someone would be willing to try ‘gingival advancement’ where the gum is ‘pulled up’ to make good the deficiency,but it is still probably a tall order. Maybe a compromise is to have enough composite applied to minimise but not ‘cure’ the gaps;a disadvantage of that is that over time, stain creeps into the join between the composite and the enamel,making brown lines,and so may need redoing from time to time (about two yearly, probably)
