I’ve tried a few electronic toothbrushes in my time with all kinds of special gyratory features that unless you have a BA in dentistry the layman would have no idea what the heck all the jargon meant. This is the first toothbrush I have came across that uses ultrasound to remove plaque and really seems to get underneath the annoying coffee stains that other brushes can’t. With this thing you can usually get a good brushing in just over a minute and eliminate the bleeding gums that the dentist recommended two minutes might give most of us. Good design effective and a little pricey but hey if you love coffee like me investing in an ultrasound toothbrush isn’t such a bad idea.

I have an Ultreo and really liked this toothbrush, however the company went out of business some time ago. You won’t be able to find replacement heads, there won’t be a warranty and you are just going to have to buy another toothbrush once the heads wear out.
Good first impression with Ultreo toothbrush
I have used a Sonicare for several years, but it wasn’t cleaning my teeth that well anymore, I think because the brush bristles seemed to be weaker and didn’t last as long. So I tried this Ultreo, which is made by the same guy who started Sonicare.
The Ultreo seems to generate more ultrasound, so my teeth are much cleaner, although it does not remove all the plaque. Nor does it make my already-whitened teeth any whiter. But I would say it cleans 30-40% better than Sonicare. And since I only have one set of teeth, this toothbrush is worth the extra cost (brushes are 2x cost).
I had a persistent gum irritation due to a deep pocket on one tooth, and the Ultreo reduced the pain a lot, whereas the Sonicare did not.
My only real concern is that the company is so new, I do not know how long it will stay in business.

New Technology
I have been using Electric tooth brushes for 22 years, and try every new one on market. This one cleans your teeth, and gums without touching them. Your teeth feel clean and your gums get over soreness, from plaque and irritation from brushes. The ‘ultrasonic waveguide’ does most of the work, and not the small brushes on the head. It is supposed to even whiten your teeth more effectively than other brushes. It is an improvement over Sonicare Elite on Gum care. The round OralB brushes are mostly effective on polishing teeth rather than good gum care.
