How To Clean A Carb? Help?!?
hey guys so today i went out and bought a can of carb cleaner so.. i took out my carb sprayed off the jets, float, float pin, bottom of the bowl, and well pretty much everything and i also scrubbed it with a toothbrush 
anyway now its soaking in a metal bowl (all of it) and i was wondering what now? it seems every website has a different way of doing it so.. is it not supposed to soak? do i leave the jets out of the bowl? am i supposed to wash it with water when I’m done? and scrub it again? or not?

You seem to have a handle on it, but some carb cleaners will harm the rubber parts, so be aware of that. The jets are metal, so the carb cleaner will not harm them. But there are varying opinions on the rubber parts. Read the label on the cans and see if it is okay for rubber. I don’t know how much rubber is in a motorcycle carb, if any at all. I just go by car carburetors.
If you have a repair kit, that has all the little rubber parts, and washers, etc., then you can soak the carb, and replace the stuff new, and adjust the float. And also, replace the gasket on the bottom of the carb. don’t use the old one. It is compressed already.
You don’t have to wash it out with water, just blow dry it with some air. That cleaner is combustible so it will burn, so any left behind will burn and be gone. I used to spray it into the carb of my cars, while the engine was running at high idle, and it helped clean up the carb that way, so I know that it burns.
But I don’t know what you are using, so just read the label and see what all it can do.
And don’t use gasoline to soak stuff in, it is very dangerous. A little spark and you could be in flames.
