Sams Choice “Purified” drinking water…. can I salvage it?
O.K., once again I fell victim to being a cheapskate in this tough economy, which is hitting me very hard financially.
I bought a 24-pk. case of Sams Choice bottled water to stow in the fridge for on the go situations when i want to be healthy and combat my thirst. So there I am at Wal-Mart, and I pick up this stuff.
I go through my usual routine of investigating the products I buy… and I missed the BIG one. I guess this stuff was BUSTED by some testing in late 2008.. It has some cancer causing chemicals and is a cocktail of different sketchy waters from vegas and san bernadino… soooo…
my question is, can i still salvage this water by running it through my brita system I have for tap water? or should i just donate it to the food bank or something?
I’ve decided today that the only things I buy from Wal-Mart from this point foward are name brand products or products not manufactured and/or distributed by Wal-Mart stores. HELP!!!
If the company that made the water had a recall – all of the possibly conatminated product would have been removed from the market. So a year later, the water you buy from them would not be the same water and presumably safe as they fixed the problem.
BTW – you are trying to save money and you are buying water when you have Brita pitcher at home? That doesn’t make sense. Don’t buy water and just use the Brita pitcher.
