hey guys I just bought a waterpik recently?
as you guys might have read before I recently got braces, my dentist recomended me dental threaders and a waterpik I just picked up a waterpik today and I find its very hard to use and the water goes everywhere and my gums are bleeding a little, is it just htat I have bad gums atm or is the waterpik too strong ? and any tips on hwo to use a waterpik better would be helpful thanks alot
Start with the lowest setting. You can build up once you get use to the feeling. Keep the pik at 90 degrees. Bend over the sink. In the begining, you might have to really get close. Trace along the teeth up to the gum line and brackets but don’t over-do an area, that can hurt your gums. Keep your mouth slightly open so the water can dribble out. If it’s the front, it helps to wrap your lips around it while you move and let the water come out on the side. Just keep close to the drain until you get use to it. Start low though. Good luck!
